AMCHAM ComIT Event – PSF Status
The AMCHAM ComIT Event , “PSF Status: Past, Present & Future” on Thursday, June 4, 2009, at 18:30 at Victor Buck, 2, rue Drosbach, Z.I. Am Bann, Leudelange.
The “Support PSF” status was created by Luxembourg law in 2003.
Since then and after the adoption of several circulars by CSSF, 67 companies (as of 31/12/2008) have been granted with the so-called status of “other PSF”.
The regulation of outsourcing in the financial sector (now also including the insurance sector in this respect) is unique in Europe.
This regulation imposes certain obligations on Support PSF. While some companies see these obligations as legal and regulatory constraints only, others see an opportunity for Luxembourg to become a hub of excellence by gaining tremendous advantages over (international) competition – notably in terms of quality of service – due to the governance, risk and security principles that have to be observed.
This event will focus on this unique regulation and where we stand now.
